    Why not use stick-on 3/4" colored dots from an office supply store? I write the style and
    botlling date on them and slap 'em on the caps after bottling.

    It appears to apply to brewers who are seeking a "Farm Brewery" license in NY. It's a
    truth-in-labeling law that allows the brewer to label it as "New York State" beer.Sounds fair
    to me.

    The smell comes from ammonium compounds that the yeasties love. It's all good.
