  • I watched beerfest and googled homemade beer. It's all a blur from there! I'm an AG brewer. I'm neither a hophead nor a malt crazy... I'm both. If it's a well made brew I'll probably enjoy it. Not a big drinker but love good bier and food. As such I take as much pleasure in a 3.5% bier as I do a 10.5%.

I suppose this is the final chapter in this saga: I say this DA and the enforcement class she
works with like many before them are immoral liars, people whom value their power more than the
    truth. He...

A minor gripe of mine:'distillation is dangerous', especially when coming from homebrewersIf
one is going to make such a statement then it should be backed up by some commentary at least.

How about the news Friday from Robbie Rogers? Hope he gets life put together, finds some peace
and returns to MLS. If not I wish him well.

What Jehro55 said. Purchase the 5 gallon paint strainer bags from the hardware store to use for
the grain bags (they're cheap). Most average strength ales can be made with a 3# bag of dme or
    3.3# tin ...

I like US-05 and hate US-05. It is clean and leaves a nice hop flavor. However the !@#$ stuff
won't floc except with cold crashing/gelatin more often than not. As such I like to use Notty

I am going to be submitting my first entry to a competition soon, and I have the letter "I"
written on my cap in sharpie, just to indicate that it's my IPA. I put simple letter labels on

What? There's an MLS insider on here? Awesome!Being in the soccer (and beer) wastelands of the
southeast (MS) what are the odds that the 'soccer insider' is connected to a team I follow. Yet
    he is! Be...

Haha. I tried to keep my mouth shut cos I don't like talking about my work too often but I felt
the need to let people know that the MLS clubs do have youth setups in one fashion or another.

I'm pretty sure that in order to get caught, either someone would have to report you, or the
cops would be in your house for another reason and discover the contraband, like if you were

Honestly, this was the last beer I "mastered." I brewed mediocre - bad IPA's for well over a
decade. basically gave up making them for the most part. Would come back now and again to take
    a shot at on...
