Carboy or bucket, pellets or whole, I've always just thrown those suckers in there. No
worries.I wouldn't think you're going to do any damage to that large volume of brew straight

Just FYI... Milk crates are the perfect size to be used as a carboy holder. It makes cleaning
them and moving them around a lot easier. There's also handles and straps and whatnot, but I
