  • Before I started in Oct 07 I had been wanting to brew for a long time...Then my wonderful bride told me I should use my B-day money and brew my own beer. I think she's regretting suggesting that now. I keep her liquered up with mead so she's cool.

    You can find these at most homebrew supply shops (see link). You will loose about a quart maybe

    I neglected to mention that I don't take issue with the previous posts I just haven't used
    ammonia or viniger when bottling.

    Sounds good, you can probably get away with two weeks of fermentation. Check you gravity after

    Rev, one thing I've done has been to pitch less yeast when making Hefes or Wit beers. So if you
    make a starter just pitch a vile next time around. You can also try to increase your
    fermentation temps ...

    That looks pretty normal and if it doesn't taste "funky" you should be good to go.
