  • I have been brewing since the start of 2009. Like most homebrewers, I began with extract recipe kits, brewing on my gas range in the kitchen with a 5 gallon brew kettle. I have since moved on to partial mash recipes outside with the use of a propane burner. I still have the same 5 gallon brew kettle (affectionately now known as Ziggy). Plans are to move to all-grain but for now, I am simply enjoying making great beers at the partial mash level and have begun dabbling in recipe design.

    I agree with duboman; I often brew a California Common beer using 2112, ferment on the cooler
    side for a month and bottle. It is one of my favorite and easily reproducible beers!
