    ABOUT ME

  • I'm a dedicated husband, grad school student (working on an MBA @ Texas A&M - Commerce), brewer of beer, climber of mountains, Texas Ranger season ticket holder, and owner of an awesome Black Labrador.
  • How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, the new Hawaii Five-0, and Lost.
  • I read a lot and like a broad range of books. I typically read books on investing/finance, mountaineering, and baseball.
  • I got into the hobby as part of the capstone project that I had to complete to earn my Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. My project included business plans for a microbrewery and a brew pub. So I figured I should probably learn to actually brew while I was at it. I don't consider myself as "new" to homebrewing anymore. I'm happily brewing with extracts and steeping grains, and don't yet feel the need to step up to partial mashes or go all grain. I'm very appreciative to be learning from everybody on the forums here at hombrewtalk.com. Cheers!

There was a Stone Ruiniation recipe in the latest issue of Zymurgy. It's just like iijakii
said, with two row and centennial. There were also instructions for extract brewing.

So my latest brew was my first foray brewing with liquid yeast. I told the manager of my local
home brew store as much and he recommended a "smack pack" because they didn't need a starter.

Do any of the above mentioned brewing apps do conversions? (I.E. all grain recipes to extract)
From the apps that I've looked at in iTunes this feature isn't mentioned. Maybe it's a standard

I have a few bottles that might have had mold in them. I have soaked/scrubbed with oxyclean. I
can't see any mold, but the bottom of the bottle isn't perfectly clear like the majority of my
