    I think distillers get off easy using cornmeal because they ferment it and distill it without
    separating the wort from the the grains. We homebrewers aren't so lucky.It was definitely worth
    a read tho...

    How about trying BIAB?^^That's a really good idea, it would make clearing a stuck sparge a lot
    easier I'd imagine.The more rice hulls helped, I was actually able to (very slowly and

    Try more rice hulls...........LOTSof rice hulls.I'm inclined to agree; first time I brewed I
    used 1 pound of rice hulls. 3x as much has been an improvement, but probably not enough :drunk:

    My refractometer gave me an OG of 17.9 Brix and a FG of 7 Brix, giving me around 9.5-9.7%
    alcohol by volume.It'd be nice to say that I balanced my beer so well that it tastes like a 7%
    abv beer but is...
