  • My grandfather always had beer on tap, when I was growing up. He pasted away in 2007 and I got his keg set up. About six months later my wife decided that she wanted to get a new refrigerator. The next day I bought Charlie Papazian "Complete Joy of Homebrewing" book and a homebrew set up kit and started converting our old refrigerator into a kegerator.

    Yes, but be careful on how much bourbon you add, too much and it can kill off your yeast and
    your bottle won't carbonate

    You should be good, on my keezer I got 7 taps and my lid is made out of oak with glass tiles.
    The original hinges have held up great for the last 3 years.
