    ABOUT ME

  • All Grain Brewing
  • Systems Engineer

  • My father acquired a Mr. Beer(or something similar) kit for Christmas one year (sometime in the 90s). I became very interested in brewing and Christmas 2002 my parents got my a True Brew kit. I was doing extracts on and off for about 6 years until 2008 when I started brewing rather regularly. I discovered, while looking to replicate an extract recipe that I had brewed, that there was something called All Grain brewing. Well that began my obsession. And I haven't slowed down since. My toys have just gotten much more expensive.

I did my first extract brew in 8 years...I honestly have forgotten how fast my brew day goes
with extract. From start to cleanup in under 3 hours. Don't get me wrong, I love all grain but
    it was nice ...

Just finished fermenting a porter (1.068 post boil) in this and wanted to give my review. I had
about 5.5 gallons that I poured into this vessel post boil. Maybe a little less. I used a
    blowoff tube b...

I just purchased the DeepWood from a local brew shop. I paid $139 for the 6Gallon with 2 ports.
The size is deceiving but it should be good for a 5.5 gallon fermentation.

So far so good. Pressure is holding good. Thanks for all the suggestions. It was ultimately a
bad oring that did not leak all the time. Only by wiggling the Gas in QD did I see the leak as
    previously ...

All my kegs are ball lock...no pin lock. Always use keg lube. But you are probably on the money
with a touchy disconnect. I am going to replace the o-ring and if that doesn't work the QD.

Now work in small areas at a time and check EVERYTHING while working and moving anything that
you can. A shutoff, regulator, hose, connector, may not leak all the time while in a static
    condition, bu...

Keg was definitely not pressurized. I do not believe the valve is one way. Checked the tops of
the connects, and they seem tight and not to be leaking.I am going to try the dawn
    solution.Right now I a...

I have been going crazy trying to find a leak in my keg system, and for some reason it keeps
eluding me. 2 weeks ago I kegged my ale and put it on air to carb. I sprayed all connections

I think you are better off just getting a sankey, for the price of that you could pick up 4.I
have though about that but I had some reservations.First I can only find used kegs for that
    price, new keg...
