    A blow off hose is just some plastic tubing stuffed down the hole of a carboy. The other end is
    usually placed in a bucket with shallow water/vodka/starsan. It allows the gunk produced during

    You could probably throw in some dextrose if you are really desperate to up the ABV, but I
    would say just leave it as is. You will have plenty of chances to brew up higher alcohol brews
    in the future....
