    ABOUT ME

  • I was born and raised in the Yakima Valley, world famous for our hops. I have a Master's Degree in Horticulture from Washington State University and have been married to my wife Becky for 11 years. I am currently an Manager of Agronomy for the Lamb Weston Company.rnrnI have lots of hobbies including, but not limited to, brewing, playing guitar, fly-tying, beekeeping, gardening, collecting comic books, making cheese, all kinds of fishing (trout, bass, steelhead, salmon),camping, growing mushrooms, and dutch oven cooking.rnrnRecently installed a 4-tap kegerator and a keezer for lagering.

  • I saw a homebrew kit at Costco in 1996 and about wet myself with excitement.. I thought I had seen an angel standing in front of me.. I had no idea you could brew beer at home.. Major moment in my life.. Thanks Costco and Alephenalia! I switched to all grain in 2007.

    If your bottling off a keg for long term storage you definately want to cap on foam if you can.
    But doing it with priming in bottle it wont really matter, you wont have foam to begin with, or
    shouldnt...
