  • none really, would love to join a homebrewers club but my schedule dosn't permit.
  • I had always wanted to make beer. The thought of making an alcoholic beverage that I could share with friends and family seemed like one hell of an ice breaker and who dosn't like the beer guy. More than that I can't appreciate any of the major domestic beers and a few imports. I just don't get what people see in bud, coors, miller Busch light.... etc... So one day my buddy calls me up and says DUDE!!! I JUST GOT A HOMEBREW KIT AND SOME STUFF FOR A BATCH OF BEER!!! There was one problem though. He ran out of money to fill in a few equipment gaps. Like a brew kettle, big stainless spoon, strainer, funnel and some sanitizer. So we followed the instructions to the letter on our first batch of beer. We ended up tossing the dry yeast directly from the package into the carboy and putting on the airlock and universal bung not understanding the importance of a blow-off tube...... Well, we went to the LHBS the next day, frantic I might add, after we found the airlock, bung and all, on the floor

I'm sure it'd take a TON of solder, but could you just coat one completely in lead free solder?
WAY out there idea, most likely be cheaper to just get a brand new stainless, but if so
