I use 2 small rare earth magnets... one inside and one outside to hold onto each other. This
worked wonderfully in kegs, although now I mostly dry hop in carboys as my kegs are O2-free
zones. Still wo...

What's almost worse is the variability. It looks like today you're getting a blend of mostly
Salt River water. Depending on your location, time of year, recent rainfall, and demand in your
city you co...

I'll take the liberty to bold the executive summary...Can we believe that it is just
coincidence that the 'other processes' just happened to lead to this competitive advantage?I

I think there is more of an environmental impact by using TSP, but I could be completely
wrong...There never was. It was banned quickly before the algae bloom conjecture was exposed as

I think you were talking about purging the entire keg BEFORE filling, and I'm talking about
purging the headspace AFTER filling though? I'm still going to be switching methods. Thanks for
making me th...

Yep that's what I get for not doing the math, thanks!2250mL @ 0.68 atm @ 20C with 44.01 g/mol
CO2 = ~7 g of CO2 used 375mL @ 2.041 atm @ 20C with 44.01 g/mol CO2 x 15 purges = ~210g CO2WOW!
I'm going ...

It really depends on what you mean by "feasible." It can certainly be done with little effort
and little CO2 waste. Purging 15 times with 30PSI reduces the O2 in the headspace to .01 ppm.
as is shown ...

I do 10-gallon batches, so I fill a keg with StarSan, push it out the OUT side and into the OUT
side of the second keg. I put a GAS connector on the IN side to relieve pressure. Then I fill
the kegs v...

I had been careful to purge headspace in the keg several times with CO2. The primed bottles
turned out fine, but the force carbed keg beer was definitely oxidised and deteriorated rapidly
within 2 mon...
