You could also bridge the 2 pieces of copper around the Shark Bite T with some additional
copper wire. That is IF the shark bite isn't conductive.

Why not store the grains in the freezer or fridge?In the fridge you can get a moisture build up
that can spoil the grains. The freezer could be an option, but isn't needed.
