I say go for it...The raisins definitely do not overpower in anyway. You could probably get
that dark fruit flavor from simply trying a belgian yeast or something...It's hard for the

The real take away is going to be that of an oatmeal raisin cookie...It's a great tasting beer
and you won't be dissapointed!Ferment at your average ale temperature of anywhere around 63-65

That's a hell of a temperature swing you should really invest in a temp control setup it's

Just a FYI for everyone in here. IF you brew this recipe exactly and add 3 cups of pureed
watermelon in the fermentor the resulting beer will make EVERYONE happy and get a 100% full keg

I use thick mashes as it related to better body and enzyme activity. I use thin mashes when
doing a decoction mash because of the boil off ratio. All in all I really don't see it playing
