any residue in the bucket is a product of fermentation. Assuming you had good sanitization
fromthe beginning, nothing that is not sanitary will be in there and cannot possibly harm the
    beer^ What they...

  • Posted in thread: How many times should one re-circulate the wort? on 10-21-2015 at 02:46 PM
For your system you should probably just skip the recirculation and do the following:[*]Raise
temperature for mash out (this is actually optional)[*]Stir the mash well to insure uniform
    sugar concentr...

  • Posted in thread: Problem? Fermentation re-started after dry hopping on 10-21-2015 at 01:44 PM
Other than what you have stated, I do not know of any other ill effects unless you raised the
temp to DH.Once it finishes out where you expect/want, add some more hops...:mug:

I think Ignorant People's Accusations are bad. Since we have agreement can we move on. I have
3,478 more hop additions to add to this batch....

If you are carbing the beer at 12psi and 38F, and dispensing the beer at 38F, you might try
dispensing the beer at 12 psi. You already have the line for that.Dropping the dispensing
    pressure that mu...

  • Posted in thread: Same brew same yeast but looks different on 09-30-2015 at 12:56 PM
Chances are it's no issue at all. I often brew double batches and seldom do both fermenters
ferment out the same.Same here. I brew 10g batches and when I split them into 5g primaries they
    are never th...

  • Posted in thread: 15 minute brew on 06-23-2015 at 06:11 PM
I am contemplating an experiment. 4 times the hops, 15 minute boil, obviously all extract.
Anyone ever try anything like this? Mathematically it should have the same bitterness, but tons
    of aroma.This...

  • Posted in thread: Choice of Beer Line Cleaner on 06-09-2015 at 06:18 PM
I actually recirculate it through my system continuously for about 15 minutes per tap. I use a
small submersible pump and a keg post (and a couple of fittings to connect them), so I can just
    snap my b...

Both look to be yeast. The one with 3" in it is more than enough for a 5g batch. Use say 1/3 of
    it to make your starter.Cheers!
