I've been a wine & beer geek since college, and even worked for several years, part-time, at a local wine/beer shop (named one of the top 70 beer retailers in the country by All About Beer)---which is really where I honed my beer knowledge. A couple years ago, I was introduced by a friend/coworker to homebrewing; the process fascinated me, but it was that magical first sip of my first carbonated bottle that sold me for life.
Then I found HBT. The rest is history. In 2 years, I managed to brew 76 batches, and even though I have more than I can drink, I really just can't stop.
I'm also an architect, and am part-owner of a wine cooperative, The Wine Guild of Charlottesville (technically an LLC), and love collecting and writing about wine. - Brewing.

- Geeky as it may sound, I want to experience the entirety of the beer world, and there are very few styles I don't like and couldn't see myself drinking at least 5 gallons of...so I'm striving to brew every style, in time.

The hypocrisy of them banning alcohol at this event but then going and drinking wine in church
every sunday and calling it blood, is comical.
