  • My Grandpa is a long-time homebrewer who has lots of equipment. I loved trying his beers and he lent me some carboys, grolsch bottles, and equipment. He even mills grains for me and gets me specialty hops. My first brew was before he gave me equipment with a Mr.Brew and was their "whispering wheat hefeweizen." Reading the instructions and making that beer gave me a good introduction into brewing, so when my Grandpa gave me some info I was already somewhat comfortable with the terms. rnrnMy latest brew, and first with the new equipment was my favorite recipe of my Grandpa's, Oatmeal Cream Stout. He milled the grains and gave me some extracts and hops and yeast.

gallons. Boiled down to 2.3-2.4 gallons, and my carboy holds 2 full gallons. Having my PBV at 3
    gallons is pr...

IPA recipe (chinook + cascade + cascade whole hop dry hop), and mashed on my stovetop for 60
