  • Got started with a beginner's starter kit while out of work and needed another hobby. My first brew was alright but I decided I could do better and I've been brewing non stop ever since (as long as someone does my lifting for me). I've become almost obsessed with this hobby and keep learning as much as I possibly can by joining forums, reading books, hanging around the LHBS and of course, learning through experience. I just switched to AG and picked up a new burner and 10 gallon kettle. In the next year I plan on building a single tier rig so I can keep brewing with as little lifting as possible.

    yeasts.2....

If I'm not mistaken they used chips for the U1 but got a couple of 5 gallon barrels for U2.

I talked to Chris the other day and I think he said it was around 1.090. It's moving a little
    slow this year.

I bought mine from an ACE Hardware a few years back and it came with a SS braided hose. It has
served me well and I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

I have 5 herniated discs so I hear ya on the pain after sitting/standing too long. I use a pump
