go buy a unflavored GT kombucha or equivalent and pout it into a clean mason jar and cover with
a coffee filter. I made a number of really strong scoby's like this.

I think I had some bad tea bags. Each time I used them I got a moldy batch. I've now been using
Jasmine green tea and everything is works flawlessly!!
