  • I started with my first successful wine in 1996. I branched out into mead wine and cider but mostly made wine until 2004. When I moved into my house in 2005, I started thinking about getting back into brewing, but up until now, I haven't really had much of a push to actually do it. rnUpdate: It is now 2017, and I realize that I may always just keep skipping some years between home brewing and wandering off.

Reasonably close predictions for me would probably be somewhere in the range of 2 1/2 to 3
gallons minimum depending on your water. I thought it was in my first post, but I must have
    erased it. Mechan...

I still live in my starter house. 1910, 1950 addition. Half of the wiring was original, 1/4
1950 professional, 1/4 patch and mangle diy foolishness. The plumbing system was worse, some
    sewer line was ...

I just had a conversation that touched on this with my Grandma. She remembers her dad brewing
with extract from a single can without boiling anything using just well water and a can of
    malt. She and D...

    I wasn't around until the 80's so I don't recall such a thing.I enjoy whoppers, sometimes a
spoonful of DME and licking the LME from a can or somesuch that it gets on, so yes; I'd
    probably go for some...

Drinking that keg in reserve?Getting to brew another keg to have a reserve?Seems like an ever
    increasing fun cycle.

Hopefully you will get a deal and will be able to expand your keg supply. There is nothing
quite as fun as having a keg in reserve.

Brewed a Munton's Gold 40 Pint Continental Pilsner with a friend to introduce him to brewing.

I am far more about the joy of it than I am about any specific vision. Today I showed a friend
how to do a cheap and dirty minimal boil extract because he thought it would be fun... And it
    was. It's n...
