    I'm not 100% on this, but I don't think so. Iirc in one of gordon Strong's books and in a
    zymurgy magazine there was talk of cold steeping dark grains and adding that to the boil. I
    haven't done this ...

    That red oring came included with the element. Not sure on the size.Thanks, i'll get in touch

    how is the fan housing actually attached to the vent hood. Can't make it out in the pictures.On
    mine it's attached to the extra 2x4s. Then I just caulked around the outer edge to get a good
    seal
