3-4 years, thought it was dead. Had on my counter for about 8 days and it went from nothing to
swollen. It was Pacman yeast IIRC.

I start raising temps at about the 4th day. When the ferment just starts to slow. I jump 3
degrees per day until I reach 67. I stay there for 48 hrs and drop the temp to 33. Once it hits
    33 I leave fo...

  • Posted in thread: How Long do YOU Ferment in primary? on 07-25-2016 at 04:45 PM

past weekend I racked a lager to lagering keg 7 days after pitching and about 6 points above
    FG. Should ...

Usually, I will package a beer when it's done and clear, about 3 days after FG is reached in
most cases. If I'm dryhopping, I will dryhop at that time and package 5 days later (or
    thereabouts).So for ...

    go. I fer...

  • Posted in thread: Sparge water temps on 06-28-2016 at 01:11 PM
I fly sparge and use RO water for the sparge water. My temps are about 185-190. I've never
experienced tannin issues. It is more about the ph as stated before. I raised the temps because
    I was not get...

530 is what they use for tank 7. That is what they said to use in an email reply I got from
them. I brewed the recipe that is in the recipe thread here. I brewed 20 gallons and split with
    530, 565, an...

  • Posted in thread: What size batches do you brew? on 06-21-2016 at 01:31 PM
12.5 or 16.5 gallon batches. I split with 2 or 3 yeasts. I got tired of running out. I have a
lot of friends that stop in and have a few pints. I just fill kegs and let them condition. Plus
    I don't ha...
