  • My dad has been making wine for years. I never had much of a desire to make wine, so I didn't show a lot of interest. Then one day I was looking into how to make my own apple cider (non-alcoholic, just fresh pressed apples.) and I ran into a site on how to make HARD apple cider. Next thing I know I have bought all my equipment and started a cider, mixed with honey... I found out later that I had actually made a cyser. Having that turn out fantastic, I was hooked!

Look for Norse/Scandinavian recipes to get the closest approximation, IMO. That's where most of
the research for Skyrim comes, anyways.I want to do that and cross reference with the
    ingredients found ...

I would recommend having a couple cans of apple juice concentrate on hand as fermentation comes
to it's completion. If you find that your "cyser" tastes very bland, you can try adding the
    concentrate ...

Just FYI, as far as I have seen, most brewers don't add raisins to their ciders. That is more
of a mead thing to do. Cider has a lot more nutrient in it then honey has. It won't kill you to
    have them ...

Personally, I think to get something like what you have there would be as follows:Get twice as
much cider as your fermenter will hold (say 2 gallons for a 1 gallon carboy). Use half of your
    cider to m...

You could also use an apple fresh off the tree for a source of yeast. Although beware, I have
heard that wild yeast can produce unexpected results and it is very likely that you will not be
    able to re...
