  • I've always loved beer and just decided to try to brew my own. I'm still at my initial stage and still learning all I can about the overall process. So far, I have completed two beers(full extract/partial) and a mead.
  • Dunkelweizen(with my own cultivated yeasts), Dopplebock(to dedicate to my father)rnrnIn the end, I want to learn how to make a Trappist Ale because it is the only style my wife will drink.
  • Nothing...cultivating yeasts now for my Dunkel

  • I have an old Coke keg that I plan on using once I repair it, but I have not yet kegged a batch.

    How long in advance should I start brewing? Im aiming for having one around late Dec/Jan
    timeframe. Do I need to start now and what does the lagering sched look like? What do you use?

    Where did you look for star anise? Most grocery stores should have that in the spice aisle. If
    you're in a bigger city you could try an Indian market
