  • Well, wow, where do I start. I live in Aurora, Oregon. Aurora is a small town south of portland by about 25 miles. I have always enjoyed the wonderful micro brews around the great northwest, and decided to take a stab at home brewing myself.

  • I was in our local Fred Meyers and found a Mr. Beer kit. Excited, I purchased it. After a few days of going over the instructios, I started to think there was something more out there.

    Off I went to my local home brew store, and purchased a Brewcraft home brewery kit. So, after a month of building my warmer ( to keep the brew at a an even temp ) I started my first batch (MR. Beer ) December 27th and my second batch (Brewcraft) December 29th.
  • I hope to make stouts, I also have a weaknes fo Hefeweizen
  • 1st batch - Mr. Beer - american lager
    2nd batch - Brewcraft 23liter - Irish Stout
  • No secondary yet
  • no bottles yet
  • never kegged, not sure I want to.....still, that might be fun.

    Took out the cork and it let out a small poot, no louder than say opening a can of soda. The
    top seems to like its new shape. I reinstalled the cork and bubbles imidiately started flowing.

    Not to suffer from nervous mother syndrome, but my latest batch has a lot of gas. I mean a lot.
    Does this look normal? is only my second batch ever, The one on the left is an Irish stout,

    I went through the same worry. Yes, it is a small space heater. Howver it is on the lowest heat
