Friend/ Roomate got me started while I was in the Navy. He was from Maine and had done it a bunch with his dad and uncles as a kid. He bought some supplies and I helped him. It was a bit hodge-podge and only turned out so-so - but I was hooked. I needed to know everything about the process - how it worked, the history, various methods etc.
I bought a few books (to inlcude Papazian's) and then bought a extract starter kit while stationed in Hawaii. Moved to AG after about 10 batches.
Took a few year hiatus while in school and traveling for work. Recently reentered the realm of brewing. - EVERYTHING! But would like to master clean crisp lagers - to prove to the doubters that it can be done by home brewers.

I second the aprx 30 ml per 5 gallon (29.57ml ~ 1 fluid ounce). 5 gallons = 18.9271 liters or
19 liters.So ~ 6ml per gallon, 3 ml per 1/2 gallon....1.5 ml per quart. or 1.6 ml per
liter. That's as smal...Posted in thread: Too much Amarillo Dry-Hop: A Cautionary Tale on 08-22-2012 at 02:10 AM
