Pre-chillers are pointless. For the price of copper to make a good pre chiller your could buy a
pump and pump ice water which works better probably anyway.

Alcohol is totally irrelevant at this stage. I am only trying to hit original gravity of 12
degrees which is roughly 12% sugar ~1.048.

I have previously heard good things about the Dunhill but never seen them for sale.I don't like
the smell afterwards but cigarettes are amazing. Especially in the right moment.

Any particular reason you don't add the hot wort to cold water in the FV. This will get you
very rapid cooling and allow better mixing, more rapid cooling to pitching temps and allow an
