    that was the first beer i ever made..............

    right now i do mostly stovetop extract/partial mash brews,

    once in a while i do ten gallon all grain batches with my buddy Joe (the dude who first showed me how to brew)
  • my girl is a fruit lambic lover, so i am planning on making her a fruit lambic.................. (update 3/18/09 - brewing a beer - this weekend - with 1 pound of wheat extract, half a pound of cane sugar, and a breferm framboos kit, adding lambic bacteria in secondary and blackberry extract before bottling)

    i want to attempt a clone of Avery's Mephistopheles..................................................................................................................................................
    and i want to make a brew that is 1/4 beer 1/4 sake 1/4 mead and 1/4 wine
    (malt extract, rice syrup solids, organic grape juice and honey with a mix of sake yeast, white labs "sweet wine/mead" yeast, and my buddy Dave's house cultured Belgian-style yeast)

    a very strong dark ale (probably about 18% abv) made using 2 base malts, 4 specialty malts, 3 different hops, and a blend of four different types of ale yeast.

    "Utopian Nightmare" our attempt at making something as strong as Sam Adams "Utopias"
    (we believe it came out to be around 21% abv)

    There's so many paths of potential yukky in your story unless someone with experience were to
    taste it and identify it, words really aren't sufficient.It could be just green and need more
    time to cond...

    i'd say there was roughly a gallon of liquid exchange (wort into the tub/water into the pot).he
    said he kept the fermentor is his room, which he always keeps at 68 F (because that is his
    comfort zone)

    i would shake up each vial, dump half of each one into a flask and make a starter, and then you
    like the results, dump what's left in one vial into the other so you can use the blend
