    ABOUT ME

  • New to brewing! Figured it was the best way to get good beer in Utah :)
  • Dexter, Storage Wars, American Pickers
  • A friend and I wanted to open a Brewry/Pub... figured we better learn how to make beer first.

Brewed 4 batches in 1st 2 weeks. An oatmeal stout, pale ale, amber ale, and a wheat.

Have 5 glass carboys... like them better than the buckets. The one beer I put in a bucket doesn't bubble in the airlock and makes me wish I put it in glass instead of listening to the owner of a local home brew store, so I could at least see what I don't understand.
  • Kolsch
    Cream Ale
    Raspberry Wheat
    Steam Style

Would love to find a good Widmere Hefeweizen recipe.

I think being prepared and having more lead time on a big weekend of having company will make
all the difference. My kegerator arrived only 3 days before the Super Bowl and I had a ton of
    people comin...

Doesn't Utah have a big Mormon population? That only shouldn't make it illegal but it might
make opening a beer store more difficult to become successful.Yes, but surprisingly, the LHBS

I could never justify spending $200 on a fragile item that has limitations especially when I
could buy 5 buckets and about 3 sacks of grain with the same amount of money. Also, will

I have 5 glass carboys. I did one batch in a bucket once... The airlock bubbled once in 2
weeks. Drive me nuts not being able to see through the bucket... even though the beer was fine

How did you "force carb last night"? If you had it at 40 degrees, and 15 psi and shook it, it
should settle right down. If you had it at 30 psi and shook it, it'll be overcarbed. If you
    did, just keep...
