    ABOUT ME

  • Student baker & fermentation enthusiast. If it can sour, pickle, or turn to booze, I'm into it. I live with my wife and my father outside of Baltimore, MD and am just now really trying to learn more about beer than "that tastes good" or "jesus, that's terrible!" I mourn the loss of Natty Boh to the BMC machine.

Welcome to brewing! And yes, a 2-3 gallon pot will be fine. I personally suggest going for a
3-gallon - I started with one-gallon brews, and almost immediately stepped up to 2.5 gallon
    brewdays. Havin...

Hypothetically, let's say the lowest ambient temp I can manage to ferment at is 72 degrees.
What in the way of differences in flavor characteristics should I expect from the ideal ferment
    temp of 68is...

No idea why they're split up like that, it's just what the recipe calls for. There's also a
"dry hop" step with an addition of 22g of ginger soaked in about an ounce of vodka for a week
    added during s...
