    ABOUT ME

  • I'm pretty new to this, at this point, but am already in love with the homebrewing pastime. I play music professionally in Nashville, and I'm about to have a son, Oliver. So there you have it!
  • Guitar,basketball,home brewing,reading,writing,arithmetic (just kidding).
  • Musician
  • Brian Bandas
  • The Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Grand Funk, James Gang, Albert King, Derek Trucks
  • Snatch, Saving Private Ryan, Braveheart, Confidence, Ocean's Eleven, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotles
  • Sportscenter, Family Guy, South Park, King of the Hill, Seinfeld, Entourage
  • Keith Richards "Life," According to the Rolling Stones, A Time to Kill, To Kill A Mockingbird, Blue
  • ASCAP
  • I'm new to this FANTASTIC pastime and I already love it! My goal is to be making my own recipes through the all-grain brewing process, in a year or so, but I don't want to be doing it completely by the seat of my pants, so I'm taking my time. I want to learn and understand everything I can about each aspect of the process. I'm currently working through a plan I mapped out, batch by batch, to move slowly from brewing with the simplest kits, all the way to all-grain brewing with my own recipes. Right now, I'm on batch number three. For the most part, I'm just using a pretty basic setup, mostly a starter kit, but I've added a secondary fermenter to the mix and a couple other things. My 'brewery' is our TINY kitchen, so much credit goes to my wife for being such a great sport!
  • I love darker stuff, so I am excited to try out some stouts and porters. My favorite beer is the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar. I'd LOVE to try and brew something along those lines. I'd like to try some variations on that pale ales, a rye ale, maybe some IPA's. We shall see though!
  • English Pale Ale
  • Soon to be an english pale ale. It will be my first use of a secondary.
  • American Amber Ale
  • Nothing, but I definitely want to be kegging in a year or so!
