    They are only $1.29DIY - Drill a hole (assuming you have a bucket) in the lid, add a $0.05
    grommet and run a breather hose @ $0.50.ft into a canister with sanitizer in it.

    Seems like a lot of expense. I have used a brass pipe with a nipple on both ends through the
    collar and now I just run the hose through and call it a day.

    I was at 4 then went to 4.5. I just use the cheap stubby black handles. IMO any closer than 4"
    and it's harder to get the faucet tool between them to tighten up the shank nut to "goodntight'
    specs
