I wonder why, after three successful batches, I get this. Makes me want to invest in a

I brewed a 2.5 gallon pale ale yesterday and my gravity is pretty low. Beersmith calculated
1.056, and I ended up with 1.043-45. Should I add some sugar/honey to fermenter? Details:4.5

I wouldn't sweat it, I sometimes drop the volume too low when boiling too vigorously, not much
of a difference honestly, perhaps a point or two higher on the gravity is all.thanks. Can't

your original recipe is for 5.5 gallons. I am doing 2.5 gallon batches. How far do you think I

Thanks for all the advice. I might just try the aquarium heater sometime. Shouldn't be that
hard to do it, especially since I am fermenting 2.5 gallon batches. But, I will probably try at
lower temps ...
