Home Brewing Biography: I began homebrewing to save money. My tastes had "matured" to the point of $9 six packs and, like I often do, I wondered if I could make it myself. So I searched the web and found "How to Brew" by John Palmer. Read it cover to cover and the rest is history. I don't think I saved any money but on the plus side I discovered a hobby I really enjoy.

They are oak CUBES, not chips.Anyways, there is no risk of infection if you boil them in water
for a few minutes. Using chips will give this beer a lot more of an oak character than the
cubes when use...

TH - did you address this in the recent revision?Still working on it but from my recent
research I think the multiplier brings it closer to experimental data. Therefore I will
probably leave it as is ...
