I'm sure many members would like to build there own system control. But on the surface it seems like a daunting task. I think if you approach the question and define what you want to do, then decide how you want to do it and finally draw a flowchart diagram of the steps involved, you will be way ahead in the design and build of your system. Consider carefully exactly what you want to do. What do you want to monitor, what do you want to control and what would you like to add now, and later. A modular approach seems to be a good way to get started. I plan to breadboard each subsystem individually to verify it works, then add it to the overall design. I am using Design Spark PCB to do the initial drawings to keep everything in modular blocks. Coments, different software?
