Default kegging temp

ok so i have been reading that when carbonating a keg it should be cold. is this absolutely necessary. cause i dont have enough fridge space to do something like that.

also would one of those Carbonating Stones work and can it be reused multiple times?

If you're kegging in "warm" temps, you have to have higher co2 pressure to carbonate. Check out a carbonation chart for the general idea. Higher pressures can cause headaches when trying to serve. Carbonation stones help carb faster, but are unnecessary IMHO. They can be cleaned and reused.
