I tried looking, but they really must have that recipe locked up in a vault. I couldn't even find a clone of it, sorry.

Have you ever had it before? From the wikipedia description, it sounds pretty much like malta goya + spices to me, but I've never tasted it.

Think beer, apple juice, then cola. In that order, one after the other, is how it tastes to me.

i make glogg throughout the holidays and the drinks are related but not quite the same
you can buy the commercial version of julmust at ikea usually in their cafeteria/food store you can also get it at cost plus world market it looks like this: Welcome to Kristall its a bit out of season for julmust, try sima instead for May 1st http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sima_(mead) there are some must ingredients listed here but the original recipe is supposedly locked away in some vault: julmust - Article and Reference from OnPedia.com http://www.europe-cities.com/en/694/finland/eating-out/598_julmust/ Last edited by wilbanba; 04-09-2009 at 10:10 PM. |

the julmust i get here (sweden) doesn't taste anything like malt or hops to me. it tastes more like a soda. (but then again i don't really drink much of it, so what do i know) i usually drink the julöl (christmas beer)
Svagdricka on the other hand is much more beer-y in flavor. and i think it is actually made with some kind of grain Last edited by Arau; 01-17-2010 at 06:15 PM. |
