Default birch beer, perlick?

If i run a keg of birch or root beer through a perlick faucet, does it run the risk of damaging it or permanently imparting a smell to it?

I wanna put a batch of birch beer through a long line, but dont want to end up wasting a perlick faucet on just soda later....

Stainless ones?... shouldn't do anything. Just clean it out with BLC afterwards. The only thing that may develop a smell are the O-Rings which are cheap to replace. Personally I ordered all the O-Rings from McMaster and just swap them out if I put something like root beer through it just replace them. The rest is stainless.
