Last year for a friend's engagement party, I made a batch of Bier Muncher's C3C (http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f62/cream-three-crops-cream-ale-66503/ ) and added 2 pounds of fresh ginger. One pound at 30 and the other at 10. I think. I'll have to check my recipe at home.

It was one of the best beers I made last year.
