Wanting to grow my own hops on the trelis on my home nut live in a woody area on side of a bluff will they grow with out heavy sunlight ?

I've grown mine in a mostly sunny area and everything I've read says that they need as much sunlight as possible.

8-10 hours of sun, but they will grow, just not as much as you would like...

They most likely will not put out as many flowers/cones as you would like....and that is generally why we grow them. In other words, your yield will be low.
The bines will also get "leggy" trying to reach more sunlight.
