On mothers day i was speaking with my grandfather who is retired florist. He found out i am brewing my own beer. He told me he had hops growing in his back yard and has taken rhizomes from the plant and put them in pots.
I plan to plan a few and see what i get.
He said his vines produce hop cones but is unsure of the type. Is there anyway to determine what kind of hops it is? I know determining the Alpha Acid Content is more difficult.
