This is my first year growing hops and now i have a few questions.
I have 5 lines with 2 bines growing on each. One bine is about 9 foot and the growth head.has turned into a bur, and i have several side arms that are about 6 inches long. Do i train them up the line when they get long enough or do i just let them go?

Like pretty much any plant, it will send growth outwards to maximize the amount of sun it can obtain. So I typically train the longer side-arms if they're encroaching on a neighboring bine, but otherwise I let them find their own piece of sunlight...
