Sorry for all the questions but I am new at this and appreciate any help. Thanks!
Ive been saying this on other posts... But you can't go wrong with great lakes hops. The crowns look like 5-6 thick rhizomes combined... Trust me theyre bigger than your hand is! I'm going to order another 50 crowns from them hopefully this coming spring!

The crowns that i got are dormant, so i have them in my garage. The garage never gets below freezing. I check to make sure they aren't drying out.

I'm from central south Michigan, just north of south bend, and i grew Chinook, cascade, and centennial last year with no problems.

I'd email great lakes hops and ask what they do for theirs, they sell the crowns so im positive they have had success with that type.

For best pricing check out our Facebook page If you're local enough, drop on by - I have some stock that is too big to ship! (unless you're a millionaire) If not, you can pre-order and put in the date you want them shipped . . .

If rhizomes are your thing - I recommend Freshops or Northwest - good suppliers.

Looks like you'll have to do a road trip up to Zeeland. There are some Good brewery's along the way. You'll have a good time checking out GLH operations.

Since I am stocking up for our co-op, I'll be making a road trip to Great Lakes Hops on March 2-3. March 3rd I'll be at the Michigan Hops Growers and Microbrewer's Symposium in Hickory Corners MI. You may wish to attend as well, it's open to the public but you must RSVP ASAP. On this road trip I plan on picking up 100 or more crowns and some bails of rice hulls they have a good deal on which I will make available to people in SE MI. If anyone would like to put their order in ahead of time please pm me or contact me on facebook.com/AgingHopster. Otherwise see me when I get back, I'll have some crowns for sale. Does anyone have any particular variety they would like to see available in SE MI? Let me know ASAP. Also, I'm picking up a grain order on this road trip, get in touch with me and let me know what you need by around Feb 20-25 if you'd like to get in on co-op prices. You are invited to attend our meeting Feb 11th (see facebook for more info).

Cheers!
