Default Rhizome Transplanting Help

Hello, I have a 2nd year cascade rhizome and a 2nd year centennial rhizome that did very well the first year. But recently heavy rains caused the ditch that i planted them in to overflow and flood. How do i know if my rhizomes are ok and im also thinking about transplanting them into pots. Can any one suggest a good way to do this?

The plants should be ok. Hops are very hardy. Just dig them up and replant. Pots will cause an issue as the root network will be easily constrained by the pot itself. Hop root crowns can get huge and the feeder roots can extend a few feet beyond the main crown. Just replant them. You should be fine.

I wouldn't worry about them being flooded. I too agree that pots are no bueno. Going from earth to earth is fine but I don't like earth to pot. Just my $.02.
