Default to late to grow?

would it be to late to start growing now (6-29-09)? i live in MA and its just been nothing but rain it seems for the past few weeks.

I think it is too late. Typically you can only buy rhizomes in the early spring.

If you can get your hands on some rhizomes I'd say go for it. I doubt you would get much if anything out of them but it would be better to at least get them in the ground.

Since you probably wouldn't get much of a harvest from first year rhizomes anyways, there's no real harm in planting now. Think of it as planting really early for next year.

Got mine here Homebrewing, Beer Brewing, Wine Making, and Home Brewing Supplies last week I would assume they still have more.
