Default Good source for rhizomes

I planted 8 rhizomes from 2 different vendors - only 1 grew.

Whoever has had good success with rhizomes, can you let me know where you buy them ?

Thanks - will try again next year.

I ordered from several vendors including Freshops, NB, Niko, Morebeer, & Thyme Garden in an attempt to get all the varieties I wanted.

Most disappointed with rhizomes from Morebeer and NB.

Best success was Freshops and Thyme Garden. If you are going to order the cheap low-end "twigs" from the big places, go ahead and get 2 of them per crown. I haven't had a double-failure that way and I got a more established crown more quickly.

I just ordered 2 Mt. Hood rhizomes on ebay from home-brew.com

Last 2 they had.

Picture looked way better than any of the crap I have previously bought.

Building my trellis this weekend - if they don't grow, I will do string beans or mirlitons or something

Again, thank you all for your info.

Got my hops about 1 month ago - finally got trellis built and rhizomes on ground.

Got the last 2 I could find.

They were WAY better than any of the others I had bought - MUCH thicker and lots of buds.

Been 6 days and one has 2 shoots - the other one nothing yet.

Purchased from STRANGE BREW

Will get more from him next year.

Empty space on trellis is growing pole (snap) beans - Kentucky Wonder

I'd also suggest freshops.com I bought two rhizomes from them, and both are growing.

Thanks for the info - that was not one of the vendors I previously bought from.
