Default Finally in the Ground

Later than everyone else, but our snow just left two weeks ago, and this is the first week it hasn't frozen at night. Put in 40 rhizomes after turning the entire hop yard over. Spaced them at 8' on center, allowing for intermediate plantings down the road. Used steer manure and peat moss in each hole along with a good amount of topsoil. If all goes as planned, I will triple the plantings next year . In the ground are Cascades, Centennial, Willamette and Chinook. Here's to a successful growing season to all of you

Mine will be going in this weekend. I'm in the same boat as you. We've had some really cold temps overnight so everything is backed up.

A successful season to you too.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Good luck to you, 40 plantings! What do you do with all those hops?
