Default Determine AA% of homegrown?

Hi!

I grew some Nugget hops, and was wondering if there is a way to test what the %AA is on them? I know they should be 12-14% by looking at charts, but I would like to know what they are for real.

Is there a cost effective way to know what it really is? Like boiling some in water and using a test strip, or some other method to know what I am using?

Lab tests are one way, but I'm way too cheap to justify something like that. I'd like something cheap, quick, cheap, reliable, accurate, and cheap.

There was another way I heard of using sugar to neutralize the acid and measuring by weight Forgot the details and have not been able to find ant reference. If you picked your hops when they were ripe they should be close to that varieties specific profile Cheers Glen
