Default Bines? Vines?

Wikipedia doesn't have much info, what's the difference between bines and vines?

For a long time I just figured people were hitting the wrong key with their left index fingers.

Can the terms be used interchangeably or does bine refer only to the little climby-twirly end thingies like on grape vines?

I'm really articulate today.

A bine climbs with special "hairs" that grow on it (like little hooks), whereas a vine climbs with its stem.

They are used interchangeably when referring to hops, right or wrong.

Yes, but not correctly. Hops have bines.
